A Heart for Haiti Missions

Serving God and loving His people in Northeast Haiti and the Dominican Republic

Dominican Republic Ministry

We have felt that God had also called us to minister to the Haitian people and children living in the Domincan Republic.  As we pursued this calling we also found that being in the D.R. gave us a big opportunity to do evangelistc ministry.

Sosua is the biggest area of prostitution in the Dominican Republic and has a large population also of the motor-concho who are motorcycle taxi drivers.  Many of these people have been very open to the gospel and several of them have accepted Christ into their lives.

As Julienne pursued serving in the D.R. she felt a personal tugging on her heart to move there and reside at least eight months out of the year, the other four living in her hometown of Madison, Maine and managing her business of a marshall arts studio in Skowhegan, Maine.

She has planned that move to be July 12th and she will be living in Sosua D.R., traveling to Haiti often to oversee our programs there.  Eventually in the future we hope to establish a mission house that will allow us to accomodate missionaries traveling to Haiti. Julienne is fluent in French and Spanish and has learned quite a bit of Creole the native language of Haiti giving her the opportunity to be an interpreter to those who need it.

We invision this ministry to help missionaries by giving them advice, transportation, accomodations and translation of the languages in their travels.

Noah's Ark Full Gospel Church in Sosua

This church is where many of the motorcyle taxi drivers that have been saved go to church, this is their buidling project which is in the heart of the prostitution district, they now meet in a large re-modeled garage.  This church is alive with many young people and families with the power of prayer and worship going strong.

Below are some of the church members during a casual worship fellowship.

Philippians 2:1-2 "If therefore there is any encouragement in Christ, if there is any consolation of love, if there is any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and compassion, make my joy complete by being of the same mind, maintaining the same love, united in spirit, intent on one purpose."
